Androgyn witch charms boy artist

Oscar and BAFTA winning androgyne Tilda Swinton is causing a stir with her controversial relationship with painter boy lover Sandro Kopp.
German-born Sandro Kopp (29) met Tilda Swinton (47) filming The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion The Witch & The Wardrobe where Kopp was a non-speaking extra centaur and Swinton was the powerful adult lead as Jadis the White Witch.
Kopp recently accompanied Swinton to the 2008 Oscars ceremony where she worn a hideous one-sleeved black garbage bag style dress designed by Alber Elbaz.
Kopp also accompanied Swinton to the 2008 BAFTAs where she wore a gold Dior monstrosity.
Sandro Kopp appears to be Tildas "away" boyfriend while her "home" partner and father of her ten-year-old twins, John Byrne (67) minds the Scottish mansion.
Sandro's other notable film acting role was of an extra elf in Lord Of The Rings.
Some bloggers are calling this an "interesting menage a trois" as Tilda (short for Matilda) maintains a relationship (possibly platonic) with Byrne when shes not on location for work travelling with Kopp. Each of her partners is aware of the other, claims to love her, and report to be entirely happy with the arrangement.
It is not the arrangement which i find interesting, it is the allure of this particular woman - a woman who is easily mistaken for a man and until i researched her recently i had always presumed was a lesbian. I know this is a stereotype but Tilda is often adorned in a mannish suit, both on and off screen, regularly has a masculine hair style, rarely wears a shred of makeup, reportedly doesnt shave her legs, and has a body of work as androgynous and/or intimidating film characters.
By maintaining relationships with not just one but TWO men this talented streak of an actress is smashing every sterotype i ever had of women as heterosexuals.
Both of Swintons male partners are artists themselves, Kopp is a painter and actor, and Byrne is a play-writer, screen-writer, director, and painter. I speculate that there is an element of mental attraction and common career interests. Regardless both of these men appear to be completely smitten.
Byrne left his wife (Alice Simpson) and the daughter they had together 14 years ago to set up house with Ms Swinton. Kopp left his girlfriend (Emma Williamson) of 4 years after beginning an affair with Ms Swinton during the Narnia filming. Her charm is undeniable, despair her steely and unfashionable exterior.
Tilda Swinton is quite tall in real life, she is 5'11" (179cm) and she was perfectly cast as Jadis the White Witch in Narnia, a 7' tall imposing giant whose beguiling beauty enchanted any little boys that encounter her. Both the character and the women charm with physical awe and promises of power.
Tilda Swinton's breakthrough role was that of the young nobleman Orlando in the film adaptation of Virginia Woolf's Orlando. Orlando lives through four centuries in Britain and changes sex from male to female along the way, ending up as an androgynous being.
Tilda continued the tradition of ambiguous gender in the blockbuster Constantine playing the archangel Gabriel who was depicted as being sexless androgynous being. In one scene she has asymmetrical straight hair and wears a suit, then later she is wearing white strapping with curly boyish locks.
Tilda routinely plays the "cold expressionless bitch" in film like Adaptation, Vanilla Sky, Broken Flowers (she had some makeup on in that one, you may not have recognised her), and The Beach. Perfect poise and a steely gaze, a disturbingly serene demeanor, these are her signatures. She is extremely pale with a face like an alien and a body like a pre-pubescent boy. She is breaking the mold of successful leading ladies, shes not a sultry screen siren - shes actually kind of scary.
In real life Swinton is extremely well educated, attending West Heath Girls' School in Sevenoaks, Kent, along with a young Princess Diana. She later went to Fettes College in Edinburgh where Tony Blair attended. She is a socialist and believes capitalism is just people using material things to distract themselves from their loneliness. She does not own a TV and when she won her Oscar had to phone John Byrne to inform him as he was unable to watch the telecast from their home.
Perhaps these bohemian philosophies form the bulk of the attraction in her artist mates?
Or perhaps this is the beginning of the age of the androgyn attracting men like magnets!
