My name is Nunzio Barbera II
I am a visual artist who just recently started focusing on mixed-media. I am influenced by many things, Most of all my Brother, PEPPY. His passing is what made me pick up the pencil and sketch pad again.
My work is based upon the sub-conscious and dreams. Surrealism. What drives me to do art is, I guess the same thing that drives all artists, PASSION. My art stems from all the things that I love.
Here are a few.
Punk rock!, Hardcore, music in general, skateboarding, comic books, tattoos, video games, magazines, horror fliks, POLITICS , RELIGION, stupidity, non-sense, sarcasm, DALI, DREAMS, ART,Humor, MAD Magazine, Philosophy, National Geographic, Adult Swim, Sci-fi, H. P. Lovecraft,H. R. GIGER, WORLD AROUND ME, FAMILY, friends ( to some extent ), and way too many artists to name.
This should give every one a good idea of where my art is coming from. I like to send mixed messages, so you never really know if I'm making a statement or just messing with you. Always been my style! ( Ask any one who Knew me in college ).
