if beauty were a song . . .

If beauty were a song it would probably be "Copper Hair Gray City" by Lebanese-Irish singer/songwriter and poet Lucian Blake.
Lucian is an indie soul/experimental artist based in London, UK who i discovered through the joys of MySpace www.myspace.com/lucianblake and have been totally captivated by his achingly delicate songs. If you like beautiful alternative acoustic songs and are a fan of the musical stylings of Damien Rice or Jeff Buckley check out Lucians MySpace and have a listen.

Driving forces behind "The Alchemy of Femininity" (141 poems) include inner-femininity, intuition, divination, matriarchal symbolism, cleansing cycles, subconscious utterances, childhood experiences, family members and past lovers.
"The Leaves of Light" (2007) is a collection of forty autobiographical poems guided by an ongoing confessional exploration into the themes of love, loss, childhood, death and catharsis.

excerpt from "The Alchemy of Femininity "(2008) by Lucian Blake
Transfixed to the dying sound again,
Wire claws tapping on naked glass.
While the dirty rain outside your window
Clones our worship.
Then it's onto your bed,
Upon velvet sands,
To buzz in pixels, soft and long,
As we delve along
In lingo charm,
And you tell me you "mean to cause no harm"
How your just a "tree without arms".
Wire claws tapping on naked glass.
While the dirty rain outside your window
Clones our worship.
Then it's onto your bed,
Upon velvet sands,
To buzz in pixels, soft and long,
As we delve along
In lingo charm,
And you tell me you "mean to cause no harm"
How your just a "tree without arms".

Thanks for the hook up. I had not heard of this artist. When you compare him to Jeff Buckly, I was already navigating through his myspace site. Enjoyed the listen!
