Dianne L. Gardner
Both a studio painter and an open studio painter many of her portraits are created from life as well as from photographs that she takes herself. She was the resident artist for the Washington State Renaissance fair for three years painting portraits from life. Today she hosts an open studio once a month where artists paint a costumed model. In the summer Dianne spends much of her time participating in outdoor plein air events with Plein Air Washington Association.
Owners of her portraits include J.R.R. Tolkien's great grandson Royd Tolkein, Bremerton artist and gallery own Amy Burnett, owner of the Washington State Renaissance and Fantasy Fair Ronald Cleveland, and many others both nationally and Internationally.
Dianne is an active member with Oil Painters of America, International Guild of Realism, The Portrait Society of America, Peninsula Art League, Plein Air Washington, and Landscape Painters of America, .
Dianne designs labels for the Bainbridge Island winery Perennial Vintners.
