Pastel Passion: Cathy Weaver

Cathy Weaver
Creative born, my first Christmas memory was opening a box filled with paper, crayons, fingerpaints, paints and brushes. I've been playing with 'my toys' ever since.
Mostly self taught - I paint watercolors and acrylics. In April of 2008, during a 2 hour workshop I picked up my first pastel. I've been hooked ever since. So I guess I'm back to the days of that first Christmas present, and and the simple joy of painting with my fingers.
I love nature, and the beauty that God surrounds us with. I'm content in capturing that quiet beauty.
I am a member of the Art at the Market Gallery, The Swartz Creek Fine Arts Guild, The Shiawasee Arts Guild, and am on the Fine Arts Advisory Board at Kettering University.
