Two Australian musical acts currently have fantastic tunes on offer with fantastic videos to promote them . . . i thought i would share the brilliant musical stylings of Gabriella Cilmi (for fans of Amy Winehouse and Norah Jones) and The Last Parade (for fans of Powderfinger and Silverchair) by posting their latest music clips.

Who is Gabriella Cilmi?
Gabriella Cilmi [pronounced “chill-me”] is all of 16 years old (born 1991) and is from Melbourne.
Her debut single is “Sweet About Me” but she has contributed to film soundtracks as early as 2005 (Hating Alison Ashley, St Trinians, UK TVs Echo Beach) and this year has performed live as support for Rufus Wainwright and Nouvelle Vague
Her debut album "Lessons To Be Learned" took 3 years to make and traverses all manner of genre from blues, pop, punk, glam, rock and beautiful balladry.
Gabriella has a unique vocal talent, and a worldliness and carefreeness that is musically manifested into an infectious, emotive swagger.

The Last Parade 'My Love'
Who are The Last Parade?
The Last Parade are a band of brothers from Adelaide.
The boys are currently hard at work on their debut EP.
The Last Parade dig deep into their rich musical rapport to produce a sound left of present-day rock bands. The tightness and urgency which is evident in the songs can be put down to the personal history the 3 Jeffery brothers share. Since an early age Keith, Steven and Michael have been writing and performing together and have a common love of music by the Police and the Beatles

I liked 'My Love', though - it seemed quite emotional.
Btw, Morgan, remember how you were saying how actors are known for getting involved in politics even if their motives are questionable? I just remembered that Viggo has a degree in Government... so yeah, he's trained to have an interest in politics and obviously educated enough to have something worth saying about it.

i saw "my love" on rage the other night and havent been able to get it out of my head, "sweet about me" i actually saw on the afl footy show of all places . . . i just felt like sharing!
yeah i guess gabriella is trying to convey that despite appearances (a cute little girl) shes really not a push over . . . im sure theres plenty of sweet things about her though, despite her choice of words . . . interesting lyric meaning analysis! (perhaps another problemativ phrase list is in order?)
viggo has a degree? is there anything that man cant do? haha
im sure he has honourable motives, the overall concept of actors speaking out against the government just reminded me of a comedy skit from a film . . . thanks for the info!
